In three-days, 17 Spec MX-5 Challenge racers from around the country took to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in the hopes of being crowned the 2021 champion. With one qualifying session and two races, teams and drivers alike invoked the culmination of 22 regular season event weekends into minutes of on-track action.
Born with a strong right foot, an ability to adapt and a desire to compete, Bryson Morris is one of Spec MX-5 Challenge’s brightest stars. At 17, Morris continues to make his mark on the nation’s most elite and competitive forms of racing. From a full Spec MX-5 Challenge season and F4 United States Championship run, Morris maintains wins, podiums and accolades while still being an ally and friend to his competitors off-track.
Over 22 regular season events, Spec MX-5 Challenge racers brought speed, tenacity and energy to some of the nation’s most iconic tracks. Over 20 racers competed making for one of the most thrilling seasons since the series beginnings in 2017.  The culmination of eight months of work comes to fruition November 5-7 during the SCCA’s 2021 American Road Race of Champions event at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. With the regular season now done the championship goes down to the wire once more.
