Bryson Morris, the racer you root for…
Born with a strong right foot, an ability to adapt and a desire to compete, Bryson Morris is one of Spec MX-5 Challenge’s brightest stars. At 17, Morris continues to make his mark on the nation’s most elite and competitive forms of racing. From a full Spec MX-5 Challenge season and F4 United States Championship run, Morris maintains wins, podiums and accolades while still being an ally and friend to his competitors off-track.
With a desire to run in sports car or open-wheel racing, Morris came to Spec MX-5 Challenge with a karting background. Following a Mazda Motorsports MX-5 Shootout win in 2020, Morris was invited to compete in a full Spec MX-5 Challenge season. Since then, Morris has three wins, one pole and multiple podiums. He is a favorite for the upcoming championship at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, sitting third in the West region with 96.50 points.

Always looking to improve, Morris brings his competitive spirit off-track and to the gym. Five days of cardio, combined with daily SimRacing sessions are a top priority. Morris understands a key attribute of maintaining race-readiness is consistency. For him, consistency allows for heightened adaptability which has come into play multiple times this season. Since beginning his workout regimen, Morris sees great improvements in his abilities and reaction time.
Of course, no great racer does it alone. With his father and mother present at event weekends to support, Morris embraces knowledge from Haag Performance owners and operators: Milas Mills, Mike Haag and Kirk Haag. Always willing to learn, these are the people who have impacted Morris the most in his young career, putting him in the best position for success.
Expect to see Morris piloting cars from your favorite IndyCar, Formula 1 or IMSA teams in the future.
