Prizes Awarded to Spec MX-5 SimRacing Challenge Drivers

Congratulations to Robert Hartley from Pelion, South Carolina and DJ Alessandrini from Lakewood, Ohio on winning their respective races at the inaugural Spec MX-5 SimRacing Challenge event at Virginia International Raceway last Wednesday evening.

The race winners from Round 1 each received a $25 voucher from series Sponsor Ricmotech Simulator Racing Equipment.

Like the actual Spec MX-5 Challenge series, prizes are awarded to each of the top-3 total points winners for an entire event.Ā  Courtesy of the Spec MX-5 Challenge series, Winding Road Magazine and LevelUp Racing School, the driver that accrues the most points over the course of an event receives a $100 voucher for products and services from any of the series sponsors.Ā  The driver with the 2nd highest points total receives $50 and the 3rd place driver will take home a $25 voucher.

Round 1 saw Ohio-native DJ Allesandrini picking up a $100 voucher by netting 39 points for his 1st and 2nd place finishes; the UK’s Jake Hewlett was a close 2nd with two top-5 finishes and 35 points earning him the $50 voucher.Ā  Rounding out the top-3, and only 1 point in arrears is Rhode Island’s Nathan Saxon who garnered 34 points and $25 for his 5th and 3rd place finishes.
